Development Applications

We prepare the planning documentation required to support development applications, including Statements of Environmental Effects and other planning assessments.

Depending on the proposal, our work can include:

• review of the applicable Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan controls;
• assessment against relevant State Environmental Planning Policies;
• preparation of Statements of Environmental Effects;
• preparation of Clause 4.6 variation requests where required;
• review of plans and supporting consultant documentation;
• identification of planning issues and potential non-compliances;
• coordination with architects, designers and other consultants;
• preparation of planning responses to Council matters raised during assessment; and
• advice on amendments that may assist in progressing the application.

Development applications often require input from a number of consultants depending on the site and the nature of the proposal.

We work with architects, project managers, engineers, traffic consultants, acoustic consultants, arborists, bushfire consultants, heritage specialists and other consultants where required to ensure the planning documentation is coordinated with the broader application.

Our involvement does not need to end once the application is lodged.

We can continue to assist throughout Council’s assessment, including:

• reviewing requests for additional information;
• preparing planning responses;
• reviewing proposed design amendments;
• liaising with the project team;
• responding to planning issues raised by Council; and
• assisting in progressing the application through to determination.

• industrial and warehouse development;
